Bard Hall Art Guild

Keeping me involved with art and artists for the past couple of years has been the Bard Hall Art Guild at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego. I love the feeling of sharing of the people in this photo.

This is a three D piece on a theme I have done before. I created it for Mollie Kellogg's October show in Bard Hall: "Do you believe in Magick?" I was shooting for something more primative but actually like this little action figure.

This is an unretouched photo of guys behaving silly. It salutes people who can relax and have a hilariously good time. >

This is multiple images. The people on the left look engaged and the people on the right observant. The windows contrast to the gallery.

I'm fascinated by cartoons and how cartoonist stylize our worlds. Here's a picture of my friend Ben which I redrew in cartoon style.

The killings of gay men and boys in Iran and Iraq continue without much comment by the U.S. Government or the Western press. Often the bodies are left to rot in the streets. The families are afraid to incur clerical wrath by claiming their sons and brothers.

This is Bob's new dog, Fez, being lovable at the North Park Farmer's market. The kid was quite charming too.

This is shot with a very simple desktop cam. It is incredible that we can get such great images from what seems to be such a simple piece of technology. That's a fifteen year old coffe mug, a sourvenir from San Diego's Pride celebration. If such technology existed in 1993 it had yet to be so easily accessible to so many.
The hand is one of the most facinating of nature's creations. It can be a great source of artistic subject matter. The desktop cam gives we an endless source of captured poses.
