John Keasler

Third in this series is from a painting called The Blue Nude by Matisse.  This is earlier than his more stylized and simplistic Blue Nude.  This one is to be auctioned as a fund raiser for Being Alive San Diego.

Another Picasso became my second of the gender transformation paintings.  This was Woman with a Book.  I renamed it Dominic because it reminded me of our actor friend Dominic Hamilton-Little who died this year.

Picasso's Sleeping Woman became my first in a series of gender transformations.  Taking art favorite images I changed the genders.  In this case, Picasso's mistress becomes a male with tattoo and crewcut.

I colorized this after taking it to the May Monthly discussion at the San Diego Art Institute/Gathering.  The color version got a lot of positive feedback online. And for the week of May 24, it fits the Illustration Friday topic of "asleep".
